First-Year Scholarships

First-Year Academic Merit Scholarships

All first-year students admitted to in-person programs are considered for Academic Merit Scholarships. These scholarships range from $4,000 to $12,000 and your application for admission serves as the application for these awards. Admitted students with academic credentials that meet or exceed a 3.0 cumulative GPA or test score of 20 ACT (if submitted) are considered competitive to receive these awards. Academic Merit Scholarships can be stacked with scholarship offers from either Athletics or the Renaissance program. Bethel Scholarships are only awarded for Fall and Spring semesters for up to ten semesters.

Hendrix Scholarship

The Hendrix Scholarship competition is held each year in the early Spring semester for new first year students. The first-place winner receives a scholarship covering full tuition, fees, a double room, and meals. The second place winner receives a scholarship covering tuition and fees. To qualify for the competition, applicants must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative high school GPA or a 24 ACT/1190 SAT and must apply before December 1, 2025.

Students who qualify to compete will receive an invitation via email.

Transfer Scholarships

All transfer students admitted to in-person programs are considered for Academic Merit Scholarships. These scholarships range from $4,000 to $10,000 and your application for admission serves as the application for these awards. Admitted students with academic credentials that meet or exceed a 3.0 cumulative GPA are considered competitive to receive these awards. Academic Merit Scholarships can be stacked with scholarship offers from either Athletics or the Renaissance program. Bethel Scholarships are only awarded for Fall and Spring semesters for up to ten semesters.

Extracurricular Scholarships

These scholarships can be awarded to both first-year international students and transfer international students. 

Athletic Scholarship

Athletic scholarships are available for all sports programs offered at °®¶ą´«Ă˝. Bethel’s Athletics program will review the student’s athletic background and determine eligibility for a potential scholarship offer based on talent and team needs. A contract must be renewed each year. Renewal is at the discretion of the coach and athletic director. This scholarship only combines with the Cumberland Presbyterian Grant, Contiguous County Grant, and Academic Merit Scholarships.

Renaissance Scholarship

Renaissance Participation Scholarships vary in amounts, and auditions are required. Scholarships are available for vocal, theatre, and instrumental talent as well as students involved in audio/visual production. This scholarship only combines with the Cumberland Presbyterian Grant, Contiguous County Grant, and Academic Merit Scholarships.
