How to Apply

Application Checklist
Complete the Undergraduate Application for Admission
Complete the entire Undergraduate Application thoroughly and submit the non-refundable application fee of $30. You can apply using the following methods:
Official High School/Secondary School Transcripts
All international first-year students and international transfer students with less than 24 post-secondary/university credit hours are required to submit a high school/secondary school transcript.
If you attended a high school outside of the United States:
International students must submit their high school transcripts to a pre-approved member of the (NACES) or the (AICE) for translation, basic evaluation, and to provide a cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale and class rank (ex. 1 out of 25).
International student-athletes are required to utilitize for transcript evaluation to ensure NAIA eligibility.
If you attended a high school in the United States:
Request that official transcripts be sent from the high school directly to the Office of ý. For a transcript to be official, it may not be marked “Issued to Student." Bethel will accept official transcripts via mail, email from school counselor, , or Clearinghouse.

Official College/University Transcripts

Test Scores
ý is test optional for applicants with a weighted GPA of 2.25 or above. Applicants may choose whether or not to have their ACT or SAT scores considered as part of the admission process.
Students with a weighted GPA below a 2.25 are required to submit either ACT or SAT scores.
If you elect to submit test scores, official score reports should be sent directly to ý by the appropriate testing agency.

Scores listed on an official high school transcript will also be accepted. Please note that Bethel does not consider the Writing section of either the ACT or SAT. The University does super-score both exams, taking the highest section scores across multiple test dates for admission and scholarship evaluation.
Proof of English Proficiency
Students whose native language is not English must meet one of the following valid scores:
- Score of 513 on the TOEFL paper-based exam
- Score of 183 on the TOEFL computer-based exam
- Score of 65 on the TOEFL internet-based exam
- Score of 3.6 on the ITEP exam
- Score of 5 overall and 5 in each exam area on the International English Language Test
- Score of 80 or above on DUOLINGO, if TOEFL is not available OR: the prospective student agrees
to participate in a video and audio interview with a committee which will evaluate the level in
which the prospective student can demonstrate adequate English language communication skills
with the committee. To qualify for the TOEFL English language requirements waiver, a majority
of the committee must agree that the prospective student can adequately comprehend and
communicate in the English language. (A majority is defined as 50% plus 1.)
